#UNLITTER is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a global movement of humans doing good through events, educational content, and community action. Established in 2016, #UNLITTER aims to increase environmental awareness and educate individuals on sustainable living practices. Our mission goes beyond picking up litter; we strive to empower people to lead conscious and positive lives without relying on new products.

As an Outreach Coordinator Intern, you will play a pivotal role in spreading the word about this significant event, fostering partnerships, and engaging volunteers. You will gain valuable experience working with a nonprofit and in project management.

Schedule Expectations

Hours: Flexible, with an expectation of 2-3 hours per week.
Meetings: Participate in 1-2 weekly meetings with the #UNLITTER team.
Event Participation: Be available for in-person support during the Great Florida Cleanup event in September.

Responsibilities

Develop Outreach Strategies: Create and implement strategies to increase awareness and participation in the Great Florida Cleanup.
Engage with Community Partners: Identify and establish relationships with potential partners, sponsors, schools, and community organizations.
Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, organize, and manage volunteers for the cleanup event.
Event Promotion: Utilize various communication channels, including social media, email campaigns, and local media, to promote the cleanup event.
Logistics Support: Assist in coordinating the logistics for the event, including site management, materials distribution, and volunteer coordination.
Reporting: Track and report on outreach efforts and event participation to the #UNLITTER team.

Proactive: Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively with a diverse team.
Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic office software (Google Drive/Microsoft Suite).
